-Angela, parent of Level 1 RCM piano student
"Marina has a very patient, engaging and encouraging nature with her students. I could see the fun that she was having with the children she was teaching. As an adult learner, I appreciated her ability to find music that I was interested in learning, and that she was able to find pieces that matched well with my level of ability. Thanks for being such a supportive teacher!"
-Adrienne, adult piano student
"Marina is an amazing piano teacher for my 4 and 6 year old boys. Her kind and soft personality allows my boys to feel safe and secure to try new ways to learn piano and music. Marina enriches her student's mind by creating innovating and exciting ways to learn piano. For example, the boys loves her ice magic [practicing incentive] to earn points to receive a treasure. She provides a composer of the week to broaden the boys' knowledge of music. Marina is an absolutely wonderful piano teacher."
-Yasmin, parent of Piano Adventures Primer & Level 1 students
"Marina has taught piano to our son for just over 2 years now and we are very satisfied with his learning. Marina is a professional, positive, encouraging and kind teacher who makes learning piano so much fun. She makes an effort to get to know her students and then teaches them according to their skill level and personality. She has a patient approach and ensures that students understand concepts taught before moving on to more difficult pieces. Marina is very creative with her lessons and gives reward incentives such as stickers and prizes to encourage increased participation and practice. Marina is also very organized. Students keep track of how much they practice by using a practice book. This ensures that students know exactly what their weekly assignments and expectations are. She also offers a 'Composer of The Week' segment, where students can learn a bit about a famous artist and hear some of his/her music.
In addition, a few times a year Marina creates elaborate and fun games. One example is where students are required to use their piano knowledge to solve riddles and complete piano tasks in order to finish a scavenger hunt. She also showed an opera called 'The Barber of Seville' to give the students the opportunity to learn about and appreciate music and singing. Twice a year, Marina also holds a recital where families come together to celebrate and enjoy their child's musical learning and success.
When asked what he likes most about Marina's lessons, our son says, 'I like all the stickers, prizes and fun scavenger hunts.'"

"The part I enjoy most about coming to do piano lessons is probably finding out about the new song I get. It’s the excitement of what it is going to be, that I like. Always guessing and hoping on a new song that I will like. I’ve learned some new songs that I like and I sometimes go up to my room and play them for fun. I asked to do same ones again a few times because I like them so much. When I first started on the basis I didn’t get many songs but on the third week I got the songs I had been asking for."
